실험실소개

This laboratory was founded as one of the founding laboratories in the Mechanical Engineering Department of POSTECH in 1987, entitled as the Particle Technology Laboratory. When the School of Environmental Engineering was newly founded in 1996, this laboratory again became one of the founding laboratories and the name was changed into the Environmental Thermofluids Engineering Laboratory. In 2008, this lab was designated as one of the National Research laboratories(NRL) by the Korean Government in the field of Nano Contamination Control. Starting from vacuum technology and dust collection techniques, research area has extended to bio-fluid engineering and ventilation. Of various researches, the Vortex vent technology and the Nano contamination control technology based on nano particle beam are by far the BEST in the WORLD. Major research fields are summarized as follows, and research scope ranges from theoretical analysis and numerical analysis(CFD, Monte Carlo, Molecular Dynamics) to system design.
