ABSTRACT	In the Structural and Material Research Center of National Aerospace Laboratory, the vacuum heating test equipment using the infrared lamp was newly developed, and theheating test of water-cooled specimen and C／C composite plate with thermal protection attachment were carried out. The test results showed that the performanceof the heatingtest equipment was around 260kw／m２. Also it was confirmed this test equipment could perform a step input into the infrared quarts lamp that was usefulfor system identification.In this paper, the outlines of the development of an infraredquarts lamp heating system and results of its heating tests are shown.
