    ABSTRACT This paper describes a pre-flight estimation method for aerodynamic characteristics and investigates the accuracy of the estimated aerodynamic characteristics of the Scaled Supersonic Experimental Airplane, using IMU data obtained in a flight simulation. The results demonstrate that the required accuracy is not achieved and that the main sources of error are in the estimation of dynamic pressure, misalignment between the body axis and IMU chassis axis, and IMU discrepancies during flight.
