    ABSTRACT Starting loads, which are especially severe in free-jet type engine wind tunnels, were investigated in order to carry out accurate and safe force measurement. Unsteady pressures and forces were measured and analyzed by fast Fourierto be the flow structure in which nozzle flow is recompressed by a separation oblique-shock wave and impinges on the model installed on a force measuring system (FMS).
