ABSTRACT |
It is well known that the grooving on runway surfaces is highly effective to prevent the hydroplaning during the airplane take-off and landing on wet runways.But,the initial performance of the grooving deteriorates due to the rubber deposits on runway surfaces.Therefore,a new method of measuring and evaluating the runway surface texture was developed.Using this new method,surface texture measuring tests of the grooved runway at Tokyo International Airport were conducted right before and after rubber removal.The operational runway textur |
