ABSTRACT |
The objective of this study was to investigate static and fatigue strengths and damage around the hole of pin-joint specimens of an AS-4/PEEK thermoplastic material.Both static and fatigue tests were conducted at room temperature.Static tests clarified the relationship between load and deformation of a pin-joint hole and bearing strength.Fatigue tests clarified the relatd a soft X-ray method to investigate damage growth.After fatigue and static tests,some specimens were sectioned and damage in the vicinity of the hole edge was observed by using a field-emmission-type scanning electron microscope.The test results were analyzed and discussed. |
