ABSTRACT |
A self-balancing type axial-thrust balancing system referred tod,balancing holes were made directly connecting the balancing chamber and the main impeller inlet.The dimefer of the balancing holes was determined by flow-coefficient test results of rotating holes.In the second method,grooves were made on the casing wall facing the main impeller front shroud.As a result,proper axial clearance was confirmed,making the development of a reliable axial-thrust balancing-system for the LE-7 LOX turbopump prototype possible. |
