ABSTRACT |
Reduced kinetics for chemical reactions in scramjet engines were investigated.Ignition,combustion in combustors and reactive flow in nozzles are described using a phase plane for radical concentrations.The effectiveness of radicals introduced to ignite premixtures was studied using analytical solutions representing time histories of three radical concentrations.The contribution of exothermicity to ignition delay and burning rate as well as inhibition caused by H2O were elucidated using simplified asymptotic an |
