ABSTRACT |
A novel high-speed mechanical drive system was developed which enables controlled-oscillations to be produced in an annular blade row in the binding mode;thus allowing solutions to be obtained for cascade flutter in turbomachinery. This system makes possible to take unsteady aerodynamic force measurements in the National Aerospace Laboratory(NAL)Annular Cascade Test Facility at the realistic,reduced frequency level of supersonic flutter in turbomachinery.Blade row oscillation tests demons be controllably-oscillated while operating in a supersonic flow field. |
