ABSTRACT |
This paper investigates the efficiency of a programming technique which reduces the number of nests of DO loops to obtain longer vector lengths and higher vectorization rations in vector Supercomputers.The technique is applied to a three-dimensional Navier-Stockes code,LANS-3D,and run on a Fujitsu VP-400.Scalar and vector processing times of the original and modified DO loops are compared and analysed.In addition,a criterion is proposed to determine the technique′s effective applicability from using quantitative characteristics of the DO loops. |
