임베디드 보안 연구실(ESSLAB)은 '전자 통신 컴퓨터 공학부' ‘김동규’ 교수님을 중심으로 총 5가지 주제에 대하여 연구를 진행한다. 암호 프로세서와 같은 하드웨어 기반의 임베디드 보안 시스템, 그리고 RFID 및 센서 네트워크 기반의 암호 시스템,  그리고 모바일 인증, 네트워크 보안 SoC 설계, 마지막으로 문자열 처리 (String Processing)를 주로 연구한다.
