1. Engineering Nanostructure Characterization
 
1) Ultrasonic AFM(UAFM) Technique
  • Study on the optimal frequency and amplitude with the types of nano-scale defects
  • Implementation of the system for nano-scale fine defect by the Ultrasonic AFM system on surface layer
  • Comparison the mutual results of SEM, SAM, and Ultrasonic AFM
  • Performance improvement of the UAFM signal and image processing algorithm
 
2) Scanning Acoustic Microscopic Technique
  • Modeling and simulation of ultrasonic wave propagation using Point/Line Focusing with Scanning Acoustic Microscopy(SAM)
  • Experimental study of Residual stress measurement of SAW velocity by V(z) curve with SAM

 

 

3) Hybrid Acoustic Imaging(HAI) Technique
  • Quantitative NDE of adhesion strength in the nano-scaled thin film system
