Current robot technology is growing along with AI and ICT, moving from manufacturing sites to closer to home, fast becoming a part of day-to-day life.

In Japan, robots are positioned as a priority field as a part of connected industries following the fourth industrial revolution. Robot technology is expected to continue to be more and more utilized in fields such as productivity improvement, nursing care and medicine, agriculture, infrastructure, and more.

The theme for the International Robot Exhibition 2019 is “Robots Making Society Friendlier for People” and it will be held with the goal of working towards a society in which humans and robots can work and live together.

During the exhibition, the newest robots from Japan and around the world, as well as robotrelated technologies such as AI, ICT, and underlying technologies will all be exhibited together in one place.
