    초록 The ultimate goal of this paper is developing in-process, cost-effective, simple and competitive straightening and shearing system for micro wires. Due to increasing volume and the need to reduce cost and response time, to purchase wire material in coil form and straighten on site. Therefore, the straightener should be designed to remove bends and irregularities of wires left from the coil. Conventional wire straightener could be made in a variety of versions which using simple tension, roll forming and tension and indirect heating. Because of their limitations such as time-consuming, low controllability, throughput, surface quality, we adopted the direct wire heating and pulling method with Ar environment. Also we evaluated the burr generation mechanism of the micro wire with respect to the shearing/cutting processes, to minimize the burr height. As a result of newly developed wire shearing system, we can obtain almost bur free micro pins and probes efficiently.
